【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverelectricboosterwaterheaters,electriccommercialstoragetankwaterheaters,andremotecontrolassembliesforsuchheaters,rated600voltsorless,tobeemployedinordinarylocationsinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70,andthatmeetatleastoneofthefollowingconditions:a)Over120gallons(454L)incapacity;b)Ratedover12kilowatts;orc)Equippedwithoneormoretemperature-regulatingcontrolsthatpermitawatertemperatureofmorethan85鳦(185鳩).1.2Theseheatersareintendedforinstallationinaccordancewithmodelmechanicalandplumbingcodes.1.3Anelectricwaterheaternotexceeding120gallons(454L)capacity,ratednomorethan12kilowatts,andequippedwithatemperature-regulatingthermostathavingnomarkeddialsettingmorethan77鳦(171鳩)andprovidedwithastoptopreventadjustmenttoahighersetting,shallbejudgedinaccordancewiththerequirementsintheStandardforHouseholdElectricStorageTankWaterHeaters,UL174.1.4Theserequirementsdonotcoverelectricboilers,commercialcookingappliances,medicalanddentalequipment,orotherelectricheatingequipmentorappliancesthatarecoveredinoraspartofindividualrequirementsthatareseparatefromthisstandard.Electrodetypeboilersarenotcoveredbytheserequirements.1.5Inthefollowingtext,arequirementthatappliesonlytoboosterwaterheatersortocommercialstorage-tankwaterheatersissoidentifiedbyaspecificreferenceinthatrequirementtotheequipmentinvolved.Absenceofsuchaspecificreferenceoruseofthetermwaterheaterindicatesthattherequirementappliestoalloftheequipmentcoveredinthisstandardunlessthecontextindicatesotherwise.
