【摘要】:ThispartofISO6293specifiesamethodforthedetermination,bypotentiometrictitration,oftheamountofconstituentsinpetroleumproductsthatwillsaponifyundertheconditionsofthetest.ISO6293-1specifiesadeterminationbycolourindicatortitration.Themethodisapplicabletomaterialshavingsaponificationnumbersintherange2mgKOH/gto200mgKOH/g.Compoundsofsulfur,phosphorus,halogensandsomeothercompoundsreactwiththealkaliandacidsunderthetestconditions.NOTES1Theresultsonusedcrankcaseandturbineoils,andonoilscontainingthecompoundsaboveasadditiveconstituents,shouldbeinterpretedwithcare,bearinginmindthepossiblehighervaluesobtainableduetotheseadditionalreactions.2Theseextraneousmaterialsincludecertainorganicacidsandmostnon-alkalisoaps.Theodourofhydrogensulfideneartheendoftheback-titrationstepisanindicationofthepresenceofcertainreactivesulfurcompounds,butotherreactivesulfurcompounds,aswellasthoseofchlorine,phosphorusandotherinterferingmaterials,givenosimpleindicationduringthetest.Agravimetricdeterminationoffattyacidcontentisanalternativeprocedurefortheestimationofsuchcompounds.
